IN-SPACE REFUELING

Orbital Fuel Depots for the Next Era of Spaceflight

Spargo Space builds 2,000 kg autonomous hydrazine and MON-3 propellant depots. Our advisory VLM-GNC autonomy stack handles rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking.

PROBLEM

Fuel Constraints Strangle Mission Potential

Every spacecraft launches with a finite propellant budget. When stationkeeping margin runs out, missions end early or require replacement — even when the bus, payload, and ground segment are still fully operational.

Orbital refueling decouples a vehicle's useful life from the propellant it could carry on day one.

TECHNOLOGY

Two Systems. One Mission Architecture.

A storable-propellant orbital depot, served by an autonomy stack engineered for safety-critical proximity operations.

01 / DEPOT

2,000 kg Storable-Propellant Orbital Depot

The 2,000 kg storable-propellant orbital depot: high-gain parabolic dish, star tracker, omnidirectional patch antennas, propellant tanks, helium pressurant sphere, sun sensor, and RCS thruster bus.

A 2,000 kg storable-propellant (hydrazine / MON-3) orbital depot for in-space refueling. Connects through existing, industry-standard docking interfaces.

02 / AUTONOMY

Advisory VLM-GNC Autonomy

A constellation of autonomous propellant depots servicing satellites across orbit — rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking under advisory VLM-GNC.

A vision-language model provides advisory, non-authoritative perception and decision support to a deterministic guidance, navigation, and control stack. A deterministic safety layer retains actuator authority at all times. Patent-pending.

CAPABILITIES

What the Depot Network Delivers

01 / PERSISTENT INFRASTRUCTURE

Persistent Infrastructure

Long-duration on-orbit assets sized for repeated refueling cycles, not single-use missions.

02 / RPO + DOCKING

Autonomous Rendezvous, Proximity Operations, and Docking

Advisory VLM perception feeds a deterministic GNC stack that executes rendezvous, prox ops, and capture without ground-in-the-loop control.

03 / INTEROPERABLE INTERFACES

Interoperable, Industry-Standard Interfaces

Connects through existing, industry-standard docking interfaces — no proprietary hardware required on the client vehicle.

04 / SCALABLE NETWORK

Scalable Network

Designed for a multi-depot constellation that grows with orbital-economy demand rather than per-customer one-offs.

USE CASES

Servicing the Orbital Economy

01 / TUGS

Last-Mile Refuelers and Orbital Tugs

Extend tug duty cycles and reposition payloads farther without compromising return-to-base margin.

02 / INFRASTRUCTURE

Space Infrastructure and Stations

Top off stationkeeping budgets for long-duration platforms — stations, habitats, and persistent science assets.

03 / OPERATORS

Commercial and Government Satellite Operators

Decouple satellite end-of-life from propellant depletion; preserve revenue-generating or mission-critical capacity already on orbit.

Building the infrastructure for sustainable space operations.
